1. Mystic Mountain
A rainforest adventure park in the hills directly above Dunn's River Falls, built around three main rides: a chairlift up through the canopy, a bobsled-style zip-track ride back down the mountain, and a separate zip-line canopy tour for anyone who wants the treetop view without the chairlift. The bobsled is the signature attraction — track-guided, so no real skill required, just a genuinely fun way to cover the descent. Easy to pair with Dunn's River Falls on the same morning since they sit right next to each other.
2. Ocho Rios's Blue Hole (Island Gully Falls)
Not to be confused with Negril's Blue Hole Mineral Spring on the other side of the island — Ocho Rios has its own, a series of natural pools and small waterfalls set into a jungle gully a short drive inland. Visitors climb and swim between the pools with a local guide, jumping from small ledges into deeper sections along the way. It's a more physical, hands-on experience than Dunn's River Falls' guided chain-climb, and considerably less crowded.
Local tip: Wear water shoes or sandals with grip — the rocks here are natural and unfinished, unlike Dunn's River's more managed terraced steps.
3. Konoko Falls Park
A smaller, quieter botanical garden and waterfall park close to the town centre, with a short, well-marked nature trail past labelled tropical plants, a small on-site museum covering Taino and Jamaican history, and a modest waterfall you can swim beneath. It's a fraction of the crowd of Dunn's River, which makes it a good choice if you want a waterfall stop without the cruise-ship-day scale.
4. White River Bamboo Rafting
A calmer, slower-paced river activity than the falls and gullies above: a two-person bamboo raft, poled by a local raft captain, drifting down the White River through jungle on both banks. It's less about adrenaline and more about the scenery and the raft captain's running commentary — a good option if your group wants a break from climbing and hiking for a couple of hours.

Getting to Ocho Rios by Rental Car
Ocho Rios sits roughly 100 km east of Montego Bay along the well-maintained A1 North Coast highway — about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic, with Falmouth roughly at the halfway point if you want to split the drive with a stop. A standard sedan handles the entire route comfortably; nothing about the drive itself calls for an SUV, though the extra ground clearance is a nice-to-have if you're also planning inland stops.
